Is centred on ‘interaction’ as a sculptural strategy. With installations to engage and immerse audiences in playful, site-specific experiences, revealing the interventional capacity of art. Many of her works have an anthropomorphic quality, subtly growing out of the landscape to give spaces a unique sense of place and homeliness.

Is a interdisciplinary artist, melding sculptural expertise with a diverse range of ephemeral practices, of new media, site-specific installations and interventions. Central to her artistic ethos is ‘Interaction’ as a sculptural strategy.

Imbued with a passion for immersive experiences, Nicole crafts artworks that beckon the audience not just to observe but to partake actively. Her creations serve as portals, inviting viewers to step into a realm where visceral encounters unfold, allowing them the agency to engage and influence the art-work’s evolution.

A graduate of Seven Hills Art School and the Griffith School of Art with a Masters in Visual Arts (2001), Nicole delves into the natural cycles, corporeal rhythms, and the intricate tapestry of human relationships and communication. Her spatial-temporal creations transcend mere visual en-gagement, embracing sight, hearing, and touch to foster intimate connections between the audience, the artwork, and fellow participants within the exhibiting space. Nicole’s art transcends the boundaries of mere observation, transforming into a multisensory voyage, encouraging a profound engagement with the essence of the art and the spaces it inhabits. She has exhibited Nationally – Contour – 556 Canberra Art Biennial 2022, Lorne Sculpture Biennale 2018, Solo exhibition Lobby Play at the Institute of Modern Art Brisbane 2004, Wandering Patterns, Sydney Olympic Park Bicentenary 2013. Internationally awarded, the Studio Residency in Milan in 2004 and again to Liverpool UK in 2014 from the Australia Council for her ongoing research into spontaneous sculptures, walking projects and large outdoor sculpture parks. She has been commis-sioned to create large LAND art works that engage their audience such as The Green Room for Kan-garoo Point Park in Brisbane 2010. And various temporary public art projects that include her ‘pocket park’ series of works of Mountain Ranges of Lounges affectionately known as Mounges. Engaged as a lead artist for the Dalby Billycan Project of Walking supported by the Department of Communities, Disability Services and Seniors. She recently 2022 was awarded overall prize at Sculptures on the Edge for her XOXO Mounges. Since 2018
